Session 5 Movers and Achievers

13/05/2025

Session 5 saw the return of the Joker and we got down to precision testing on the set ups and working on stance and throw.

The Joker Juniors were out in force going from strength to strength this time playing the math calculation game Scotty Williams Bee's , where they had to solve a math sum to catch the bee and then hit the number on the board. Our maths and accuracy is really improving each day. Our Joker Junior's Highest Hitter this week was Ruairi Power. The Joker's MVP this week was Jake Long showing great maths skills and accuracy. Rian, Maisie and Jay are all improvers getting better each week.

Then came our older youths and we are continuing to work on our routines ahead of our new goals which we chatted about last night. Some of our older boys have the goal now of heading to development tour with the Joker in the new year but first we must be competitive, have the right attitude to represent the Jokers Academy and Target Elite 1, and put the consistent work in. Statistically this week the most consistent player on the routines were Dara Duke, Jamie Cunnigham, Allen Moore and Alex Long. Showing the biggest improvement in their practice routines and going from strength to strength were Dylan Comer and Jamie Harte.

Well done everyone. See you all Thursday where we will do a bit of work towards match play to get ready for those playing in The INDO Gold Cup and where those not ready to enter can get some knowledge on how it runs and some information for when they are ready, and of course we will still have time to run through our practice routines.
