Joker Juniors Weekly Chaos
This week the Joker Juniors worked on accuracy. We moved some of our improvers to the full height board and they got their first go on the fantastic Target OMNI system and we took their first ever scoring average and they all had a look at where their darts landed and clustered on the OMNI app system. Yes at this age averages are a little chaotic but it was an exercise in learning terminology and explaining why a treble 19 is just as good as a treble 20. Plus it was the thrill of using the equipment they see the older youths availing of in the academy. Mini achievable goals were set and we will rerecord their average in 2 months and see is accuracy improving.
Then it was back to business with our weekly competition of the Joker's Highest Hitter. We had a new trophy for the honour after the old trophy was retired after a mishap. This week the winner was Miss Maisie O Shea in second was my wonder boy Jay Lynch, 3rd was my littlest Joker Rían Power, 4th was my steady rock Jake Long, 5th was the Junior who had held the highest hitter for three weeks in row Joey O Sullivan, 6th was new member and boy with darts that are magnetic to destroying his mothers washing machine Kaylum Quilligan Martin, 7th was Ruaíri Power who normally tops this but had a bad day at the office like his hero Nathan Aspinall last night and in 8th by a very small margin was the newest member of my Harley Quinn Girl squad no nonsense Ruby-Jo Quilligan.
They also stayed on a little late this week to celebrate our two youth players who signed to Target Elite 1 pathway as this is something very much ahead of them and in their reach. We had a little party and we apologise for the sugar rush some of the joker juniors left with.
Well done to all my Joker Juniors as always we had great fun as always.
